Penelope Stockinger

Penelope is a sustainability professional with substantial operational leadership and change management experience. She has been helping organizations address sustainability and business transformation opportunities and challenges since 2018. Penelope works with clients in various industries including financial services to elevate their sustainability and impact strategies and deeply embed sustainable best practices and innovation throughout their operations with the aim of becoming resilient, world positive organizations by creating value for multiple stakeholders.

She has worked both in-house as a Corporate Sustainability/ ESG Leader and alongside prominent CSOs and operational executives, guiding them on their organization’s path to a more resilient and sustainable future. Her 20+ years of experience have proven instrumental in guiding organizations towards deeply embedding sustainability practices within their operations in line with both stakeholder needs and value creation and innovation. She helps make the business case for change by exposing risks and gaps while highlighting best practices and strategic opportunities.

Anson Knausenberger

Anson brings over a decade of global experience across four continents, helping executives redefine the intersection of responsibility and profitability. Before joining Possible Ventures, he advised Fortune 500 multinational corporations during his tenure at BSR (Business for Social Responsibility).

His passion for integrating responsible strategies into business practices and investments began in the non-profit and public sectors, where he tackled development challenges in both emerging and established markets. Recognizing the need for resilient, just, and efficient market-creating innovations that adapt to our rapidly evolving world, he transitioned into environmental and enterprise risk management consulting.

This shift led him to co-found the London School of Economics (LSE) Social Enterprise of the Year, build competitively sustainable businesses in challenging emerging markets, vet ventures for de-risking capital, and pioneer sustainability initiatives at one of the world’s largest tilapia producers. Anson is a former Boren Scholar and holds a MSc from LSE.

We believe the era of sustainability as a silo and ESG as a perceived threat to business has passed.

Our planet's boundaries will define the competitive environments in which enterprises will succeed or fail in the very near future, if not already today. ESG and corporate sustainability were rushed onstage in response to scientific facts, public outcry, quickly conceived regulations and opportunism. Mistakes were made. Many companies are now responding by scaling back sustainability initiatives, budgets and themes, while relegating ESG to a compliance formality.

We think this is the wrong thing to do, and we are out to prove it – one successful client engagement at a time. This is our vision.

When the storm passes, what remains is a far better understanding of how organizations can operate in a scarcer resource environment and take competitive advantage of new technologies, practices and ecosystems which have grown up during that last ten years.
